Fall is in the air and the weather is changing quickly. Leaves are starting to change colour and the days are getting shorter. Less time to work in our gardens but that is the beauty of living where we have four seasons. We are working on our guest speaker for the next General Meeting on Monday, October 29. We will also be selling our Christmas Luncheon tickets at this meeting. Be sure to get yours early. Also, our AGM is coming up on Monday, November 26 so be sure to attend. We are still in need of a President so please consider taking on this very important role. You will have a wonderful membership and executive to support you every step of the way. Enjoy your chilly, sunny days and look forward to seeing you at the next meeting, visitors are ALWAYS welcome!

The Sechelt Garden Club is on the Sunshine Coast of BC, a 40 minute ferry ride north-west of Vancouver. It was first incorporated as a non-profit society in 1967.

  • Stimulate an interest in environmentally friendly gardening.
  • Facilitate a forum for the exchange of plants and ideas.
  • Assist members to understand and improve their gardening methods.
  • Educate members about plant related topics.
  • Foster interest and involvement in the community.

  • Our meetings are held the last Monday of every month from 7:00pm to 9:30pm at the Seaside Centre in Sechelt not including June, July, August or December.
  • After a short business meeting to bring our members up-to-date, monthly guest speakers present on a broad variety of topics and gardening information.
  • Our tea/coffee/dessert time provides members with the opportunity to socialize and share ideas. We pride ourselves on being welcoming and inclusive and value all levels of expertise.
  • We often have plant tables where members can purchase plants brought by our guest speaker or members. We also have a ‘share table’ where members bring in various plants or gardening treasures for members to take home for a small donation.

  • Dues are $20/year for individuals and $30/year for a couple.
  • We are members of the BC Council of Garden Clubs.
