JUNE 2018

Our Strawberry Tea was held on Sunday, June 10 and was a huge success! The weather cooperated so we were  able to go for guided tours of the gardens. We enjoyed some very tasty sandwiches and goodies and of course…the star of the show….STRAWBERRIES with WHIPPED CREAM on Angel Food cake. Super yummy!!!! HUGE thank-you to all the volunteers who helped with organizing the Tea; setup/take down, tour guides, making all the great food, preparing the coffee/tea, making the centre pieces and prizes, greeting visitors and members, organizing the entertainment/games…the list goes on and on….. A wonderful time was had by all! We will have some photos shortly.
Have an awesome summer and look forward to seeing everyone on September 24 at our General Meeting. ENJOY!!! :)

  • Stimulate an interest in environmentally friendly gardening.
  • Facilitate a forum for the exchange of plants and ideas.
  • Assist members to understand and improve their gardening methods.
  • Educate members about plant related topics.
  • Foster interest and involvement in the community.

  • Our meetings are held the last Monday of every month from 7:00pm to 9:30pm at the Seaside Centre in Sechelt not including June, July, August or December.
  • After a short business meeting to bring our members up-to-date, monthly guest speakers present on a broad variety of topics and gardening information.
  • Our tea/coffee/dessert time provides members with the opportunity to socialize and share ideas. We pride ourselves on being welcoming and inclusive and value all levels of expertise.
  • We often have plant tables where members can purchase plants brought by our guest speaker or members. We also have a ‘share table’ where members bring in various plants or gardening treasures for members to take home for a small donation.

  • Dues are $20/year for individuals and $30/year for a couple.
  • We are members of the BC Council of Garden Clubs.
